In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Marion County Supervisor of Elections Office will be temporarily closed to the public, effective immediately until further noticed.


Services will still be provided by phone, website, and email. Appointments can be scheduled as necessary.


A secure dropbox will be provided at the Elections Office entrance during normal business hours for candidate petitions and completed forms to be returned.


All currently scheduled public Canvassing Board meetings will continue as noticed.

In accordance with the Sunshine Laws of Florida, all meetings of the Canvassing Board are open to the public and will be conducted at: Supervisor of Elections Office at the Election Center, 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala, Florida 34470.

Deadline to register or change party: July 20, 2020

Vote By Mail: Due by 7 p.m., August 18

Early Voting: August 8 - 15, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Election Day: August 18, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.


2020 General Election

Deadline to register: October 5, 2020

Vote By Mail: Due by 7 p.m., November 3

Early Voting: October 19 - 31, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Election Day: November 3, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.



Persons needing language assistance under section (4)(e) of the Voting Rights Act, defined as persons educated in an American flag school in which the predominant classroom language was other than English, please contact the office at 352-620-3290 or ask for language assistance at your local polling place.
