As the official and trusted source of voting and election information in Marion County, Florida, this page is intended to keep Marion County citizens informed and provide timely and accurate election updates as it relates to COVID-19. Hours of Operation

The Marion County Supervisor of Elections Office located at 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala is open M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to access online services on our website or have the option to contact us by email Elections@VoteMarion.Gov or phone 352-620-3290. All Canvassing Board meetings remain as scheduled and are open to the public to attend.

 

Voting Options

Voters will still have three options for casting a ballot in the General Election (Vote-by-Mail, Early Voting, or Election Day) and are strongly encouraged to choose their voting preference in advance. Voters who choose to vote in person should expect potentially longer wait times due to preventative measures being implemented at Early Voting and Election Day voting locations. 

Vote-by-Mail
Voters who wish to vote-by-mail should request their ballot ahead of the 5 p.m. October 24 deadline. Voters can request or track the status of their vote-by-mail ballot at https://www.votemarion.gov/Ways-to-Vote/Vote-By-Mail/Check-Your-Mail-Ballot-Status. Requests can also be made by emailing VoteByMail@VoteMarion.Gov or calling 352-620-3290. Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Election Day and can be returned by mail or in person to any open Early Voting site during Early Voting or the Elections Office, 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala.

Early Voting
Voters who prefer to vote in person are encouraged to vote during Early Voting which begins Monday, October 19 and continues through Saturday, October 31. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters can cast their ballot at any one of the nine open Early Voting Locations. The least busy locations are Forest Public Library, Reddick Community Center, Silver Springs Shores Community Center, and Dunnellon Public Library.

Election Day
Voters who prefer to vote in person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 are required to cast a ballot in their home precinct. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all of Marion County's 122 precincts. Several polling locations have moved and affected voters were mailed a new voter information card. Voters are encouraged to look up their assigned voting location in advance at www.VoteMarion.gov/MyPrecinct and continue to monitor our website for any changes or updates.
